The Two Cultures in the 21st Century: Observations from a Respectful Outsider
In an address to attendees of the 17th Asia-Pacific Futures Research Symposium, Shanghai, March 1 and 2, 2007, Kent State University Provost Paul Gaston presented his perspective on overspecialization and separation of disciplines within the university, suggesting that both the university and financial engineering have much to gain from a dynamic relationship with each other.
