Masters of Science in Financial Engineering

Financial Engineering exploits tools from finance, mathematics, computer science, and economics to the solution of risk management problems. Financial Engineering methods address such problems as derivative securities valuation, strategic planning and dynamic investment strategies. The increased pace of financial innovation has multiplied the need for highly qualified Financial Engineers in investment banking, hedge funds, corporate risk management and regulatory agencies.

"The Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MSFE) program has attracted international recognition and support. The MSFE program coordinates the Asian-Pacific Futures Research Symposium, the Research in Futures Markets journal, and various certificate and professional education programs."

~ Dr. George E. Stevens, Dean of the College of Business Administration

The MSFE program is designed for students with strong quantitative backgrounds seeking careers as risk management officers, derivatives analysts or traders. The program emphasizes applied and a solid theoretical foundation. Our state-of-the art, on-campus Trading Floor uses advanced market software with live data to simulate trading conditions and provide hands-on training to develop “Quants Who Can Trade”.
