FAQs: Application Process

Applications to the Financial Engineering program are administered through the College of Business Administration's Graduate School of Management. Additionally, International students will also be contacted by the Office of International Affairs to address issues and concerns of particular importance to international applicants.

Q: What is the application fee?
A: The application fee is $30.00 (30 USD)

Q: Can I pay the application fee by credit card?
A: Yes, Once the application is complete and ready to submit, you can pay the fee via credit card or electronic check. Applications will not be processed until the fee is paid.

Q: What is the application deadline?
A: The application deadline is February 1. Only completed files are sent to the program review committee. Please be sure your file is completed by February 1. For international students, it is recommended that you begin your application process no later than January 1 to allow enough time for your file to be processed by the international office.

Q: How do I find out the status of my application?
A: The Graduate School of Management will send you an official letter regarding the admission decision. Please allow the review committee at least four weeks to process your application. After April inquiries regarding status can be sent to msfe@kent.edu with the subject line: Status of Application. You will receive a response within 48 hours.

Q: How many sets of transcripts are required to be sent to your university?
A: We require one official set of transcripts from each institution.
